Use a Measuring Tape
Wrap your nail tip with a soft measuring tape at the widest part (from sidewall to sidewall).

Use Tape + Ruler
Place a piece of clear tape across the nail at the widest part. Mark both sidewalls, remove the tape and measure between the marks with a ruler.
