Whether you’re brand new to extensions or a seasoned pro, our guides walk you through every step for a flawless install!

BEFORE

Have the following tools ready:

  • Simple Inches Extensions
  • Simple Inches Roll of Tape
  • Pintail comb or Fine Tooth Comb
  • Hair Brush
  • Hair Clips
  • Scissors
  • Mirror setup (2 mirrors helps)

Your hair must be:

  • freshly washed
  • fully dry
  • product free
  • Brushed and tangle-free

DURING

Each Simple Inches weft comes in a 50cm (19.6") wide piece and is designed to be cut to fit your head.

AFTER

For best results:

  • Do NOT wash hair for 48 hours
  • Avoid sweating heavily
  • Avoid oils or added product near tape area

This curing period helps the adhesive fully bond.

STEP BY STEP

STEP 1

Remove your hair piece from the packaging and carefully cut away any plastic ties. Lay the hair flat on a clean surface, ready for installation.

STEP 2

Section Your Hair:

Starting at the nape of your neck, create a clean horizontal part about 1 inch above your hairline. Clip the rest of your hair up and out of the way. As you work upward, keep each section neat and your hair smooth and combed down.

STEP 3

Size your piece:

Hold the hair piece up to your head and trim it to fit, leaving at least 1 inch of space from your hairline on each side.

STEP 4:

Cut Piece according to your sizing.


STEP 5:

Apply tape along the top liner strip of the hair piece, working slowly and pressing firmly as you go to keep the tape aligned. Once you reach the end, flip the piece over and continue applying tape along the remaining strip. Trim any excess tape when finished.

STEP 6:

Peel off one side of the tape backing and place the hair piece onto your sectioned hair, leaving about ¼ inch of space between the tape strip and your scalp. Press firmly to secure. Next, remove the remaining tape backing, release the section of hair above, and allow it to fall naturally (and straight down) onto the exposed tape. Press firmly to seal the hair in place.

STEP 7:

Continue working your way up your head, repeating Steps 1–6 for each row. Most customers install 3–4 rows in the back, but placement is completely customizable. Add pieces wherever you'd like extra length, volume, or fullness to create your perfect look!

STEP 8:

Apply additional pieces to each side of your head as desired to create balanced fullness and a seamless blend. Be sure to keep all pieces approximately 1 inch away from your hairline for the most natural-looking result.

STEP 9:

Use the Simple Inches Cut Tool to seamlessly blend your extensions with your natural hair. Holding the extension ends in one hand, glide the cut tool through the hair at a 45-degree angle, allowing the razor to softly trim the ends. This creates natural-looking layers and helps the extensions blend beautifully into your own hair.

STEP 10:

Complete your look by applying a pea-sized amount of Simple Inches Quench Oil from the mid-lengths to the ends of your extensions. This helps nourish, hydrate, and keep your hair looking its best. For ongoing care, reapply every other day as needed.
